Honor roll, 4 Months, Stupid Instructions

3BT for 5/18/07

1. I finally made it. My blog link is on the honor roll of 3BT sites on the original Three Beautiful Things blog.

2. Maleah turns 4 months tomorrow! I cannot believe it has already been 4 months. I love her so much.

3. Dumb instructions on products. Baby stuff is the best for that. One seat that we got for her had the instruction: "Do not use near open flame". That ruined my weekend! I planned on letting her sleep next to a fireplace! Geesh!

  1. The sad thing about those stupid instructions: someone had to do it for the instruction to be needed.

Here are some of my favorites:

On Sears hair dryer: "Do not use while sleeping."

On a bag of Fritos: "You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside."

On a bar of Dial soap: "Directions: Use like regular soap."

On some Swanson frozen dinners: "Serving suggestions: Defrost."

On the bottom of the box of Tesco's Tiramisu dessert: "Do not turn upside down."

On Marks and Spencer Bread Pudding: "Product will be hot after heating."

On packaging for a Rowenta iron: "Do not iron clothes on body."

On Boot's Children's Cough Medicine: "Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication."

On Nytol Sleep Aid: "Warning: May cause drowsiness."

On a Japanese food processor: "Not to be used for the other use."

On an American Airlines packet of nuts: "Instructions: open packet, eat nuts."

On a child's Superman costume: "Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly".

On a Swedish chain saw: "Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals".

On a container of salt: "WARNING! High in Sodium"

On a blanket from Taiwan: "Not to be used as protection from a Tornado"

On a pushchair: "Remove child before folding".

On a packet of condoms: "Do not drive whilst using this product"

On a bottle of bathroom cleaner: "For best results start with a clean bathtub before use"

On a Korean kitchen knife: "Please keep out of children"

On a curling iron: "Do not curl eye lashes, may cause serious eye injury"

  2. I've read those before. Those are hilarious!

  3. One I ran across from DishTV troubleshooting:

"What is happening: You cannot find the remote control"

"Possible Reason: You have misplaced the remote control or someone else has it."

    Not Shit!
